Taylor Swift in Reem Acra

Those of you who have an aversion to Princess dresses, look away now.

Taylor Swift attended the 2011 Nashville Symphony Ball, which was held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville.

The singer was honoured, yet again, with the prestigious Harmony Award at the event.

She looked delightful wearing a Reem Acra Spring 2012 gown.

Her strapless pale blue gown with a sequin embroidered bodice and full tulle skirt is very much the Princess gown many of us wish we could wear at least once in our lifetime, yet Taylor is lucky enough to wear one every week.

Sparkling House of Lavande earrings and a bracelet plus Jimmy Choo heels provided the perfect accessories.

Still sporting straight locks and bangs, Taylor styled her hair into a chic updo and pretty pink lips provided the finishing touch.

Emma Roberts In Maria Lucia Hohan – 2011 CNN Heroes: All-Star Tribute

Emma Roberts attended the 2011 CNN Heroes: All-Star Tribute, which was held on Sunday in LA.

The actress wore a Maria Lucia Hohan black-and-nude silk mousseline ballerina dress with lace detailing and a full skirt.

Celebs seem to love the Romanian designer’s flirty dresses and Grecian gowns.

Emma’s falls into the flirty category as her dress has a sweetheart neckline and an open back.

Black accessories including leather Casadei pumps and a satin Kotur clutch complemented her dress whilst her earrings added a touch of sparkle.

Wavy curls and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Valentino Garavani left the world of fashion in 2008

It’s not just the American actress who are in town for Cannes, our favourite Asian stars are too.

Fan Bingbing is one star you can always rely on to bring elegance to the red carpet.

She’s at the festival to promote “Chongqing Blues” with her co-stars Yi Zi, Li Feier, Xiaoshuai Wang, and Hao Qin.

She looks so beautiful wearing a Valentino Fall 2010 dress.

The pink is perfect for her milky complexion.

I love those delicate ruffles which cascade down her skirt.

Those of you who like details will be happy that she kept the butterfly brooch on her dress.

When you say the name of Valentino, our imagination draws a beautiful woman, which proudly goes on the catwalk in the purple dress, which became the hallmark of the house “Valentino”. Every show of the great Couturier was ended with bright red dress.

Great women have inspired the creation of Valentino. Almost half a century his clothes were: Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Brooke Shields, Jessica Lange and Courtney Love. Valentino created white lace dress for a wedding Jacqueline Kennedy, who married Aristotle Onassis. It had conquered the whole world for its simplicity and at the same time refined. Nancy Reagan all the years of her husband in public appeared only in the clothes from Valentino. Only Garavani could advise the Elizabeth II: “Your majesty, wear black. He sets off your skin.”

Valentino Garavani left the world of fashion in 2008, Anne Hathaway became the last inspiration of the great maestro.

The last Valentino muse was a young hollywood actress, Ann Hathaway which invariably accompanied by Garavani at all fashion-events. Ann and Valentino have got acquainted on shootings of film “The Devil wears Prada”, in which Hathaway played a major role. Valentino was the only couturier, who agreed to take part, not fearing the wrath of the most influential women of the world of fashion – Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, which was the prototype of the “devil” in the film. The movie star and the great couturier quickly became friends .Ann is still the best friend of Valentino Garavani.

Beautiful High Neckline and Low Back

Marchesa gown

Marchesa silk crepe evening dress, c.2004

The Marchesa look was inspired by the society icon of the 1920s, Marchesa Luisa Casati. The superbly crafted, vintage-inspired designs have been favorites of celebrities and socialites since Marchesa's debut in 2004.

Derived from 20th century classics, Marchesa designs never really go out of style. If you already own a Marquesa, it will remain part of your wardrobe forever.

This elegant evening dress in classic black features a 1930's-style draped cowl neckline, both in front and back. The cap sleeves and cummerbund are embellished with Victorian style faceted jet beads. The dress closes on the side with a concealed zipper.

The dress is fashioned from heavy weight rayon crepe. The fluid shape is achieved by self lining the skirt, giving it substantial body. The bodice is lined with rayon/acetate crepe. The sensual elegance of the silhouette, the epitome of 1930's glamour, reflects the high society seductiveness of the historical Marchesa Luisa Casati.

Marchesa takes its name from the unconventional clotheshorse and party girl, Italian aristocrat Marchesa Luisa Casati (1881-1957), who sounded a bit like a proto-Paris Hilton when she intoned: “I want to be a living work of art.” In a 1928 letter, Rebecca West writes from the Isle of Capri to a friend: "There is a marvelous red haired Marchesa Casati...She used to come down to the Piazza in tartan pantalettes designed by Poiret..."
